Daily stress can interfere with getting pregnant and if you’re having a difficult time conceiving this in itself can create added anxiety. Anxiety will impact all elements of your daily life, from the way you interact with family, friends and colleagues to the way you think and feel about your body and your fertility.
Anxiety can affect the part of your brain that regulates your hormones and if stress is a constant reality then it could have an impact on your menstrual cycle and it will certainly make you feel unsettled.
Anxiety may be work related, relationship related or finance related, but in many cases it’s actually the stress that you place yourself under to conceive that can be strongest in your journey to get pregnant.
Anxiety can bring an array of unwelcome traits such as:
• Feeling moody, angry and restless.
• Reacting with irritability to tiny things
• Not being able to relax and sleep soundly
• Worry that you are becoming obsessed and are hell bent on the ‘getting pregnant mission.’
Anxiety is a tricky emotion, it can lay low under the surface and then get triggered with an explosion of emotion.
Anxiety is often all about not feeling in control of your circumstances and as humans we find this difficult.
What can we do about it?
When anxious, the human mind becomes your enemy. While stress can make you feel like you want to be alone, the reality is that anxiety can cause your thought processes to turn towards the more negative thought. At this time try to empower yourself with the knowledge that you can CONTROL your body, mind, food, exercise, sleep, supplements, therapy sessions and how you relax.
Try to make changes in your life so that you feel more relaxed. Eating healthily, exercising and yoga or meditation can all help to reduce stress.
Feeling alone when you’re trying to conceive can make it harder to cope with stress. You may find it helpful to join a group which can offer you support.

As this is a private group please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your Facebook profile details and a request to join so we can join you to our group. Thank you.
